OpenStack Newton : Configure Neutron#5 ( Compute Node )
2017/07/03

Configure OpenStack Network Service (Neutron).
This example is not All in One Settings like here, but Configure the 3 Nodes environment like follows.
Neutron needs a plugin software, it's possible to choose it from some softwares. This example chooses ML2 plugin. ( it uses Open vSwitch under the backend )

[1] Change the kernel parameters for rp_filter.
root@node01:~#
modprobe br_netfilter

root@node01:~#
echo br_netfilter >> /etc/modules

root@node01:~#
echo 'net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter=0' >> /etc/sysctl.conf

root@node01:~#
echo 'net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter=0' >> /etc/sysctl.conf

root@node01:~#
echo 'net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-iptables=1' >> /etc/sysctl.conf

root@node01:~#
echo 'net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-ip6tables=1' >> /etc/sysctl.conf

root@node01:~#
sysctl -p

[2] Install Neutron services for Compute Node.
For selection during the installation, select [No] to all or input any value (because create a new conf file later).
root@node01:~#
apt -y install neutron-common neutron-plugin-openvswitch-agent
[3] Configure Compute Node.
root@node01:~#
mv /etc/neutron/neutron.conf /etc/neutron/neutron.conf.org
